A BIT ABOUT US
We have three fabulous English Cocker Spaniels of my own all with a beautiful nature. Behind our large, safely enclosed garden we have a nature reserve, a woodland walk to Sanders Park. Our dogs are very social because of this Gem on our doorstep. Our Farmhouse is cosy and light with tiled floors throughout the downstairs to accommodate dogs walked on rainy days, (easy to mop clean!) We welcome your human and Pet friendly dogs to come and stay with our family. Relax in confidence that we will treat your family member like we treat our own during their stay with us. We love dogs and as part of their wellbeing it is important that your dog has time to enjoy whilst your daily life is busy.
We take the care of your dog seriously. We offer a Home Boarding service, which means your dog will live and sleep in our home (in the same space) for the duration of his or her stay. We are fully licensed and insured, and your dogs safety and comfort are our highest priority.
We require all dogs to have been familiarised with the home prior to any first time stay via a free meet and greet service, in which we find out more about your dog, have a coffee or tea together to allow the dogs to settle for 15 mins to 30mins. We normally meet at the local park and walk to the home to allow the dogs to get to know each other in a neutral environment. If all parties are happy to continue, then we will take more of you and your dogs details.
Please note, we will not take any dogs that show any aggressive tendencies, to us or to other pets.
We require all dogs to be fully vaccinated 2 weeks prior to boarding, we will need to see proof of this at the time of drop off.
Dogs will sleep in crates as they will be staying in the same space in the house (for their safety and the home). This will typically be from 10.30pm to 7.30am.
Dogs are supervised at all times except at night or up to a maximum of 2 hours in the day (at which time they will be crated (unsupervised time in the day is simply to allow for unforeseen circumstances and would not be regular)
Dogs are likely to be boarding with dogs from other homes, all of which are subject to the same conditions and every care will be taken to ensure a safe socialisation.
Dogs can be walked in the park (for an additional charge), and will always remain on the lead. Dogs will have plenty of space to run around in the garden during the day.
Whilst every care will be taken to ensure the health and safety of your dog, no responsibility is taken for any harm that may come from accidents or the actions of other dogs. All dogs must be fully insured during their stay.
We are happy to administer and oral medication to your dog, as long a clear instructions are given in writing. Medicines will be kept under lock and key.
We suggest that you bring your dogs own food, to ensure no dietary issues are created, and we would ask you bring your dogs bedding / crate /Poop bags.
We will try to maintain regular contact with you regarding your dogs stay via email or facebook. (we will send photos and tell you what they have been up to during the stay).
If your dog becomes destructive or ill in any way I will contact you and isolation may be needed to ensure safety of adults, children and other dogs. This decision will be taken by myself but will be discussed with you if contactable at the time of problem. Safety of your dog and others is of upmost importance to us.
